Sadness
Grieving your loss
My life changing event
The love of my life gone from me
Sorrow like a blanket covers my heart
Missing you more each passing day
Memories make me cry
Heart broken with
Sadness.

Chapter 5 “Characters” – Section 2 “Protagonists”
(Previous Tutorial) (Next Tutorial)
“Plot is people. Human emotions and desires founded on the realities of life, working at cross purposes, getting hotter and fiercer as they strike against each other until finally there’s an explosion—that’s Plot.”
—Leigh Brackett
Apart from Primary and Secondary Protagonists, there are many other different protagonist characters-types that can drive a story—ranging from heroes, to villains, to antiheroes
Wings Of Light
Upon me is the last dawn
Faded away has the last dusk
I leave behind all of the rights and wrongs
I don't deserve an afterlife that is also rough
Mesmerized in deep suspense
As I await the final arrival
My tears become so intense
These last moments of hope are vital
My bearer
Allow me to break away
My deliverer
Accept the toll of my undying faith
-
I was careless as I fell
Mocking life itself
Every secret I held
Defined a broken side of myself
An inner slaughter I could not defend
A one-sided war that I could not fight against
My downfall is what I didn't want to prevent
I always lusted after the idea of
I wish you were laying here beside me. . .
Here to feel your warmth, here to give that soft comforting touch that only you can calm me with.
To hear your gentle heart beat from under your soft skin, I couldn't think of anything more soothing.
I want to get captured by your bright loving eyes and get lost in the thought of this moment lasting forever.
As I crave you to be so close, I lay here alone.
On a bed that feels too big, under sheets that seem so cold, heated by nothing more than a shell of a lovesick boy wanting to reconnect all the pieces of our devided hearts.
I wonder if you think of me too.
If you miss me.
I
I stumble on my way towards You
Head throbbing
Throat bleeding
Stomach clenching
Eyes streaming
You are all things Precious
Silver Grace in Your movements
Cruel Reason in Your eyes
Ageless Wisdom in Your words
Sweet Patience in Your heart
My dreams bite and kill
Enabling false Hope
Demanding ugly Disappointment
Displaying twisted malformations
Unearthing long dead woes
Unsaid truths slay unsaid wishes
How harsh is our world!
How distorted is my Desire!
How beautiful is Your pity!
Broken heartbeats fade if never mended
I Fear this
Feeble Hopes reform into hard edges
I Fear this
Bruised footsteps lead only to Pain
I Fear this
Wilting flowe
Our Word is Sacred:
We have struggled against the chains of fate
We've lived our lives on the edge of hate.
Oppressed by the taunting of the foolish and blind;
It is time we stood and responded in kind.
No more can we sit here, content with our place;
Else by apathy alone we shall be erased!
Our work is like a candle, a small one at best;
It is quickly snuffed by a single breath...
For too long have we accepted, the concept of equality;
Whilst simply accepting the crumbs of poverty.
Our people go unheeded, as madmen and sloths;
The "cultured" eat like kings, while we are fed with broth...
To create these verses, it takes a lot of
it trembles, a
crooked form caught
in a black sea,
its surface
stagnant now the
still waters rumble
with the passing of cars and
unmoving eyes, casting deep
shadows over its
small
broken body
alone and
weary
it croaks, a feathery wing outstretched,
reaching
a mouth, wide open
unable to utter a single
cry
